Calling any ex. Eudora users for help with Pegasus

I need to be able to send out a stock message which contains a clickable link to my website in reply. In the past I have used the Eudora 'Stationary' function (I have 14 of these messages) Just selected one then added an email address. I'm not looking to send an Auto reply, just to be able to select the appropriate one quickly. These are replies to various request from new emails received.

    Regards Paul

Create templates and reply with the correct template based on a global policy rule set, or a user filter rule set.

See help on how to create templates and rules.

In addition to the templates there is a glossary function that I use all the time to quickly reply with canned text to specific requests.  I find this to be the most powerful tool of Pegasus Mail in a support environment.  I only wish it could be used here as well.

Could you elaborate on a glossary function within Mercury - I'm not quite following your thought - is it an extension to the templating?

Many thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately I've only had pegasus a few days and although most is very straightforward I don't understand these terms or how to use them, i.e. 'Glossary function'  can this include clickable links?) and also the Template funcion I could not undertand how to use it and 'Global Policy' ?

I realise newbies like me must be a pain, sorry!

    Regards Paul

    Take a look at: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pegasusmail.nl%2Ftip16.php&hl=nl&ie=UTF8&sl=nl&tl=en
for the 'Glossary function' but it's only present in Pegasus Mail.

Not for Mercury, Pegasus Mail.  This guy was talking about help converting from Eudora

    Hi Thomas,

Thanks for the Glossary suggestion, it's doing exactly what I was looking for, ca't get my live link into it but I can add that as a signature before sending, brilliant.

    regards Paul

    Hi Phons,

Thanks to Thomas for suggesting The Glossary fuction and you pointing me to the Dutch website which showed me exactly how to set it up, I now have my business up and running after just a few days.

    Thanks very much

Re: Calling any ex. Eudora users for help with Pegasus

Hmmm, pls post in the correct forum - and do not do duplicate posts with different subjects but almost the same content -

if you read the thread: http://community.pmail.com/forums/thread/10756.aspx and this one you'll see that the question is asked twice.

Now, I'm moving this thread from Mercury to Pegasus Mail forums.

    Kind regards / Peter

Sorry for that, but did not realise I had posted in a different forum, this is only first time I have used such a site

    I'll try harder next time
