Disappointing! No information at all about Pegasus Mail 5.0. A little bit of information would be good for everyone. I guess there is not a new version being developed.

The question is, were the thousands be a success or not? as i am one of them, i really would like to know if we can expect a version 5.0 to come or not.

Umbrella [um] Re: Pegasus Mail 5.0

This is great -- thank you, Michael and David, both.  I think that more than a few of us out here in the provinces do wonder from time to time what's going on, especially since there's been so little blog activity this year, so far, and since Han's Pegasus Mail website doesn't seem to be updated much anymore.

It doesn't need to be a weekly or even a monthly update, just once every so often.  Sufficiently often so that those of us who, although longtime loyal Pegasus users (since about 1992, actually), finding that the world is trending more and more to webmail, despair.  I just don't know how long POP3 can hang on outside a LAN environment, given the anti-relaying authentication issues, and given the occasional need to check mail from a borrowed client machine.

Re. The Thousand, I did follow the thread, a while back, to the effect that that number had not been realized, and that the actual contribution rate had fallen somewhat short of the pledge rate.  Nothing particularly unusual about that, of course, sad to say.  As a matter of fact, although I myself was an initial Thousand contributor (at an enhanced rate, even), I haven't heard anything about "time for annual renewal" for a l-o-n-g-g time.  Have I missed something - ?  Who do I contact about this?  (Come to think of it, though, my forum private email address changed, over a year ago now . . . ).

That is good news. Good to know that there are new and improved features in the pipeline. Only one question: what is wrong with the current html renderer and why should it be replaced by the rendering machine of the crappy IE which any prudent users avoids to use?
