I have a post, http://community.pmail.com/forums/thread/4464.aspx , that I had done in Plain Text and there seems to be no way to change the formatting so all of my entries, including edits, are not just run together in one single paragraph.  Have gone in and changed the 'Content Editor' from Plain Text to Standard and now to Enhanced and this uses 'html' which I am not accustomed to using.  What am I doing wrong?  Also am on a dialup and that is even a little slower in changing thingys over to a different method of operation.

 Is it just that I will have to become an 'html' user?  I hope not.

To be honest, don't really know - you simply write and press enter whenever you want to make a new paragraph. By pressing shift-enter you create a line break.

In order to make bulleted lists, you start a new line, press the bullet button above and insert the lines.

• suggestion 1, end with a single press on enter
• and nbr two
• and so on

PeterS, I can tell you are using the Enhanced version or maybe the Standard, but; my guess is Enhanced. You reference, ". . . bulleted lists, you start a new line, press the bullet button above . . ." and there is not a bullet button at the top in TEXT only. Just held down the shift key and hit Enter to start this line and I bet it will still be at the end of the previous line when I post. Even hit the Enter twice to give a blank line between. YEP! It is even starts on the same line with your name and it is actually double spaced. Thank you anyway,

If you want to have automatic formatting you have to use the Standard or Enhanced Editor.

The Plain Text Editor doesn't produce new paragraphs or line breaks (except you would insert some HTML by yourself). I have tested this with Firefox.

Is it really so hard to use the Standard or Enhanced Editor?
The only problem I can see is that these Editors are a little bit slow concerning the loading time.

If your dial-up connection is too slow it is perhaps better to learn some basic HTML and BBCode.
 

Sorry have never actually tested the plain text editor.

For use in plain text editor, to create some basic formatting:

create paragraphs, type: <p> - text - </p>

create hard line break, type: <br />
create paragraph separation, type: <p />
