Hi Tracy, I can only empathize with you about contacting Symantec - and the writer who wrote "it's like bashing your head against a wall" is absolutely right. I have been a loyal Symantec supporter since Norton Utilities for DOS first came out but my subscription is fast running out, never to be repeated. They have become so big with so little concern for their users that a boycott is indicated. They will soon wake up with a bump when all their faithful subscribers depart en masse for other vendors' products. This matter with the Trojan.Dropper being a glitch in Symantec's programming, should not be taken lying down and I feel that a million protest notes to the CEO of Symantec would be very appropriate, since it was NAV's coding that has cost us money, the loss of data, the loss of time, the inconvenience of having to download a 15.xMB file (no problem for broadband users, but for us 41.2kbps dial-up users it's utterly unacceptable - only 40% has downloaded and I have been conntected for 75 minutes already! Just goes to show, doesn't it!), and then installing the patches, and reinstalling WinPMail for the umpteenth time. I think David Harris ought to take this up with the Senior Executives of Symantec and get Symantec to apologize to the world for this glitch. I am sure some people will agree while others will say an apology is not enough.
Take care,
