    Multi-Panel view of mail boxes . . .

I have Pegasus Mail v4.41 running four e-mail addresses with each in a single standalone version of Pegasus.  Multi-panel view of my mail boxes is not filling the bottom portion of Pegasus when expanding to full screen.  The Caption Buttons for the multi-panel viewer indicate it is set to full screen yet along the right side the border of the multi-panel is about .25 inches from the edge and when placing the mouse over that border it becomes a double headed arrow but you cannot drag it all the way out.  I would provide a screen shot but in Vista I am not sure as to how to do that.

If you understand, could you advise me as to what to do?  If not then just ask more questions than I and see if I may have an answer.

My O/S is in my sig,

Exit from Pegasus Mail. Now locate the file called STATE.PMJ in your mailbox directory and open it using Notepad. Find all lines that start with V4FP (they'll be in a section marked "[General]") and delete them all. Save the file.

This should fix the problem; no idea why it might have happened though.

    Cheers!

    Re: Multi-Panel view of mail boxes . . .

    Mr. David,

Did just that as per your instructions, after re-reading several times to insure I had just the V4FP lines, and removed them.  If you would like the entries sent, that can be done as I have saved them from one of the STATE.PMJ files.  Plus, I did the same for all of the usernames that have access to their e-mail through this setup.

Edited by NTxLS > Just after posting the above and then doing a complete system reboot, which did not help either.

Now for the BAD news, there was NOT any change for any of the PMail windows.  They remained the same . . .

Thank you for reading my request for some assistance in this matter,

I'm afraid it looks as though I'm not understanding your report. Without a screen shot so I can see exactly what it is you're reporting, I doubt I can be of much more assistance.

    Cheers!

NOT a prob BOB, er, David,

Until I learn more about how to use this system and to post screenshots I guess this will just be a hazard bump.  Most all of this stuff is ahead of me on the learning curve.

Thank  you for making a blind attempt anyway,

Taking a screenshot in Vista is the same as other Windows versions. Press the Print Screen button, then open ms-paint and paste the image. Save it as a jpeg to your desktop. Go to a file hosting site such as www.imageshack.us and use their facility to upload your image from the desktop. You can give a direct link to the hosted image in your next post.

Thank you "Greenman" for this information.  Will get to that later, have some HoneyDos to take care of at this time.

Thank you for reading my poster and giving this Dummy some guidance,

I have spent the last four hours attempting to get to the IS as well as register on their forum to see what may have gone wrong, still awaiting a reply.

    Thank you for trying,

    Re: Multi-Panel view of mail boxes . . .

Looks to me like the folder window is larger than the view pane and not maximized.  I'd try using Window | Tile to bring the windows into the view pane and then maximize.

    Re: Multi-Panel view of mail boxes . . .

    Mr. Stephenson,

Thank you for this tip, I had my screen setting to 1152x864 and have changed it to 1024x768 and it now fills the screen.  As I am on VistaHomePremium SP1 do not know where to find what you have referenced "Windows | Tile" I thought the tiling was only for DeskTop back ground images not for running programs.

I actually prefer the 1152x864 because there is a greater amount of information displayed on my screen and the text is smaller or can be made smaller.

Thank you for looking this over for me and giving a tip.  How was the screen shot or were you not really able to tell much from that?  I used one of the lower image sizes, would it have been better to use a little larger size?

Thank you again for reading my Roaster toastie,

The Windows | Tile is on the Pegasus Mail top level menu.  Your graphic did not show the entire top of the current window so I suspect some of it is out of the view pane. I also suspect that the current window is not maximized based on your graphic.

    Re: Multi-Panel view of mail boxes . . .

See what I mean about NOT every knowing or even using the full features of Pegasus?  There are so many I will maybe, if lucky, can make a dent in their use.

I will post another copy of the screen print at this level of 1024x768 and another at the one I prefer 1152x864 and a higher resolution.

It is still with a small gap along the right side even with it set to full page not with the "Caption Buttons" within the lower area.  They in line with MENU, on the same level.

Thank you for reading my rambling poster,

    Re: Multi-Panel view of mail boxes . . .

If the folder window is maximized or tiled then you will not see anything around the edges.  The problem is you are not seeing the top of the folder window (not the WinPMail window, the preview mode folder window in the WinPMail window) and so you cannot even select the option to maximize the window.

Here's what the folder preview mode should look like when maximized to fill the WinPMail window.

And here's what it looks like when the folder preview mode window is tiled to fully fill the WinPMail window.

    Re: Multi-Panel view of mail boxes . . .

    Mr. Stephenson,

Here is the link for my 1152x864 and I had my mouse on the right side where the gap is and was showing a double headed arrow, did not come out in the ScreenShot.  I have looked at these pics and in the area below the ToolBar where the Preview screen of messages is where there seems to be a small problem.

Thank you for reviewing and commenting on my problem,
