    Attachments-- location of

I need to delete files from my computer (space issues), and now realize I do not know where Pmail is storing attachments that arrive onto my computer via email.  Can someone tell me where I'll find those?  I tried searching on all .jpg files but found nothing related to Pmail attachments.  TIA

Unless you specifically removed or saved the attachments, they will still be with the messages.

If you need to delete the attachment while still keeping the email, you need to move the message back to the New Mail Folder, delete the attachment(s), and then move the message back to its original folder.

So that means, I think, that there is no external access to any of the attachments that I didn't specifically save by name, only through the pmail interface?

Ok.  Thanks, guys.  As always, the pmail forums are incredibly helpful.  Unfortunately, the program is more techie and labor intensive than I'm able to handle, so I guess I'm going to have to live with Eudora OSE after all.    Many many thanks.

Eudora has always been fairly unique in that it automatically saves attachments to a specific folder.

Different strokes for different folks - as they say.

I didn't know that wasn't typical!  I always used Eudora from my very first email back in 95.  I like a lot of pmail's features and capabilties, it's very powerful, and I've transitioned over to Eu OSE and now I'm struggling with the interface where Pmail works for me in the interface.  There's no good answer on this for me.  But lest I sound otherwise, I really think pmail is great and I can see why people are dedicated to it.  My limitations are no reflection on pmail, that's for sure.

Given that v5 is under development is that something that might be considered for inclusion?

and this has been discussed a lot in the past.  There are a number of security problems with saving what might be a virus or worm to a specific directory automatically that could easily be activated inadvertently.  I doubt very seriously if this would ever be implemented in Pegasus Mail.

I rename the destination directory to nonstandard.   I was told at the time it was sufficient.  ?
