    Disabling sig links could be a great idea :)

    ... or just disable posting anything until the new user has 10 posts ... :D

    Err...!?

    It may be very dificult to get any changes to the way this forum works - the software hasn't been updated for some time, and the hoster is not active.  The 'light-touch' moderation (which has served us well up to now) is being swamped by all these spam posts, but I think this site may suffer unless we can do something.

    points system is a good idea

    is there not a way to disable them through the browser though?
    im sure its easy
    or easier just to ignore it?

    No - there are on the site

    They can't all be ignored - they can range from links promoting unrelated goods/services, through to search engine spam.  These are contrary to the site terms & conditions.

    how will someone accumulate 10 post if you cant post in the first place.

    i think theyre using it to promote their sites etc.
