    Multiple emails being sent

I believe I have some kind of virus that sends out multiple emails when I send just one. They appear to be "bcc" emails and I only know about them because some get returned for a bad email address. I am running AVG & XoftSpySE and can not find any spyware but I believe there is some type of "trojan" loaded. I'm a little embarassed to admit that I have no idea how this happened or how to resolve the problem.

I have been using Pegasus for almost 18 years now and love it and this is the very first time there has every been a problem.

    Thank you in advance, AJ

I don't think that this is a Pegasus problem. If you think you got a trojan you should/could use more tools to

    scan your pc.

Two more things you can do,

First, are you sure that no permanent bcc is set ?

Second, you can test if the problem also occurs with other email clients.

    greetings

    kind regards

Doubt if there is a virus or worm but you can check this out via a session log to see exactly what is being sent.  In addition, a spammer may be using your email address in his spam and then you'll get a lot of the bounces.

    Re: Multiple emails being sent

Thank you for your replys. I agree that I don't think it is a problem with the Pegasus software, I just didn't know where else or who else to turn to.

One thing I did notice is that after I restart the computer, the software is already running and logged on as "Admin". Then I send an email and that is when there are mulitple messages sent.

I do not know how to capture a session log. Could someone share that with me? I also don't believe a spammer has access to my email server, as the only time it occurs is when I send an email out of Pegasus. If I send an email from the server it acts normally.

OK. I just figured out the session log. I'll try to capture it the next time it occurs.

That's the same I see in my log, except the

warning message. You can try to set the folder for

Spam in the Spamhalter configuration dialog, but I don't

know if this solves your problem.

    kind regards
