    Opera 9.5

This is just a follow up on Peter's post in the What's New forum. I am using Opera 9.5 here, and a frequent visitor to the My Opera forums.

I am not quite sure what the problem is, I seem to be able to compose this post OK, maybe it is to do with editing after posting? So I will post this and then attempt an edit.

If I can be of assistance, including discussing it on the Opera forums, please let me know.

    Dave

OK, I couldn't edit it in Opera 9.5.... I am now using Opera 9.27 on my other PC and it works OK. The problem seems to be in getting the cursor to appear in the editing pane, if you can achieve that you can type! v9.51 is in preview and expected to be issued shortly, but I see nothing relevant on the change list.

    Re: Opera 9.5

    Thx Dave,

I'll leave them arguing about who's fault this is.

This week might be too tight for something as major as upgrading the editor to version 3.1. I also need to bring the site down to do something like that. It deserves a proper service window over a weekend. I have to plan that a bit ahead.

    Re: Opera 9.5

It seem's like the problem is solved, with the new Opera 9.51 RC1.

I can create and edit messages again, without problems.

    kind regards

    Re: Opera 9.5

There is now a new update to the Opera browser.js file which seems to cure this on 9.50. To make sure you get this immediately rather than part of the weekly checks you need to type opera:config then navigate to UserPrefs/BrowserJavaScript and set the value to 1, then click on Help/Check for Updates.

Assuming this reply appears my machine will be deemed to be cured...
