    Vista problems . . .

My sig will show my recent change or maybe I should say, "my improvement and not in WinXP SP2" any longer or even shorter.

Now I have downloaded a fresh copy of PMail v4.41 and should I allow PMail to fully set up and transfer my mail boxes to location later?  I attempted to locate the mail boxes first and then have it use them.  When I get the screen to give the path to PMail for the mail boxes it will not take the path C:\Program Files\PMail\Mail without the quotes and with the quotes and will not setup my user accounts.  What am I doing wrong?  Or is just because I am doing my own way of install and not following PMail?

Thank you for reading my post and TIA for any reply,

Try using a MSDOS path for the long file name.  Use c:\progra~1\pmail\mail\~8 when running pconfig to set the home and new mail directory.

    Mr. Stephenson,

Thank you for this rapid reply and suggestion.  Thought Vista would work with the full names of the folders as XP would, most of the time.  All that was needed was to place quotation marks around the path and switches were placed outside, that is what I had done WRONG, the first word of the second sentence just ahead of 'Vista'.  Not accustomed to doing that and when I do mostly WRONG!!!

Will work on that after a nights rest, have been working with this since about 0630hrs and now is 2101hrs.

    TIA,
