• Re: AW: Re: AW: Re: PMail 4.73 released - update experience?

Update to 4.73 went perfect and in my case I was here to check some issues around folders and/or filtering that something by installing the latest version seem to have fixed. Or at least it have fixed an issue I have had for some time around folders.

  • Re: Pegmail getting too large (after 15 years) so how to prune it down?

Brian Fluet:These instructions might be of help... Archiving to a directory on a local drive or network driveNOTE: You can not move or copy entire folders. You MUST work at the message level. Well, it is possible to move folders, you just have to work on windows level. Meaning shut down Pegasus, and manipulate the individual ...

  • Re: Receiving duplicate emails

I have the same issue one to three times a year. Is there anything in the POP3 protocol that can force any kind of reset between the klient and the server?

  • Re: Merging two MAIL files into one

A lovely tool. I still had a few folders I had left out, and this was a no brainer to get them back in the game, thanks. I wish I had know that before I began. So now the process looks like this. 1) Use the restore tool to merge two or more folders. 2) Use Pegasus to more content from one folder to another. That is the tedious part. I have ...

  • Re: Merging two MAIL files into one

Brian Fluet:Physically merging two mailboxes requires manually copying messages from added mailbox folders to folders created in the Pegasus Mail instance that you are merging into. IMHO, rebuilding the lost tray structure in the added mailbox and leaving it as an added mailbox is the way to go. Gradually merging messages into the other ...

  • Re: Merging two MAIL files into one

caisson:Mailbox merge is here: File names and extensions: That work around is really not a merge. That is a lot of manual labor that you even can't be certain will work. Already when you add the other mailbox two things will ...

  • Maybe stupid... but can this be done anyways

Set up:Novell 6.5sp8 server (not going to move to a later version if I can avoid it, nor going to setup a windows server instead).Mercury 1.48nlm running all module but MercuryC (as I can't use smtp-relay any more... unless somebody knows of a free reliable one) Usually I use a laptop win 8.1 as working machine but I do have more laptops than ...

  • Re: Mercury.nlm (yep... still that one)

Okay, I will unload MercuryC... and using Mercury/32... well, that means I will have to run an extra machine which I really have no idea to do. Maybe I can be forced to, but I will do a lot not to do it. One of the things I need to check is if there was a SMTP-server in the old Border Manager 3.0 (I can't find the licence to 3.5 although we had ...

  • Mercury.nlm (yep... still that one)

I need to figure out one of two things. a) How can I set it up to send mail on port 587 with a user name and a password? Is is possible and what do I have to add in the line in the cfg file. b) If that is not an option can I stop MercuryC so it can't send at all (then I will have to set up Pegasus to send directly)?

  • Re: Using more than one character set i Pegasus Mail

But not mine... sadly. I have two different cases I can't figure out how to solve. Case 1: I get a letter from Asia (usually Korea or Thailand) Full of squares. In two different places a) the name of the sender b) in the text. How can I get this to show in the original language? And remember there is also English and sometimes even Danish in ...
