• Re: new mail box

There really is no ''acceptable'' number. However, the more you have, the longer it will take to refresh the folder view. Also, if you get more than ~750 messages in the New Mail folder, it will stop auto-refreshing the new mail folder. It will only refresh when you trigger it yourself. As far as the refresh rate, use whatever you find ...

  • Re: Features for filters

You may want to look at the various flow control options, using labels, Goto's, Calls, and Returns. Using these you can define blocks of rules. Then you control the position of the blocks using Calls and Returns. If you want to move the block, just move the single Call rule.

Richard:Is it possible to see the list of short-term blacklisted sites? Can offending sites be permenantly blacklisted? If you check the MercuryS log files, you can see entires where an IP address has been added tot he short term blacklist. For example, I have a DNSBL check titled ''Spamhaus Zen - Reject''. David Harris: Dirty Harry:1. Macros that will randomly pick a line from a .txt file and place it at the bottom of a message as a tagline. That would be a real nice piece of fluff. Pegasus Mail has had variable signatures since 1991. It's slightly arcane - you have to prepare them in a specific format then compile the file using the Pegasus ...

  • Re: Another wishlist

Dirty Harry: 1. Ability to turn off the reply option popup everytime a reply is made. You used to be able to turn it off. So everyone turned it off. Then they forgot that it was even there. Then they complained that Pegasus Mail couldn't do a whole bunch of useful stuff. So we had to continually tell them to turn it back. In other words, the ...

  • Re: Filtering based on account/Open as plain text

There is no automated way to ensure that all messages end up in a specific folder. One thing you can do is to use a new mail filtering ruler/rules to trigger on the recipient address and Move it to a folder. The problem you will run into in this case is with BCC messages that do not have your e-mail address in the To: or Cc: fields. Many ISPs will ...

  • Re: Local test web server

Mercury/32 can easily be set up to serve as a local test server. The installation routine will generally set most of the settings you will need. Is there something specific you need to do? If so, your best bet would be to provide a list of what you need to server to be able to do, then we'll better know what to tell you.

  • Re: Add an RSS Reader into Pegasus -- please?

Martin's RSSMail is a great program for people that want RSS feeds in Pegasus Mail. It can deliver feeds with each item as a separate message, or and entire field combined into a single message. As with all of Mertin's great Pegasus Mail add-ons, its free.

  • Re: Pegasus and OpenOffice.org

Michael in der Wiesche created a set of macros for OpenOffice and Pegasus Mail a while ago. I'm not sure they work in the current versions, but you're welcome to try them. http://idw-doc.homepage.t-online.de/Oo2PMail.zip
