• Re: Pegasus address-parser revamp

Hello! The next version of Pegasus Mail is likely to include such a change. Instead of an error dialog of its own, Pegasus Mail will annonce that kind of error in the ''System Messages''-window.

  • Re: Filtering Rulesets for IMAP

Hello! As mentioned in the previous posting, you can use filtering rules for IMAP-folders as well. However, what you cannot use is the New Mail filtering rules; they are applied only to messages in the New Mail folder. If I understand your description correctly, your workflow is to read the new messages that have arrived in your IMAP-mailbox (when ...

  • Re: Suggestion - Identity/Folder defaults

Hello!Well, just one solution is not enough...we are talking about Pegasus Mail here, so there are several features you may want to benefit from. (a) IMAP:Perhaps, IMAP4 helps you. When using IMAP, you do not download new messages onto your computer, but you leave them on the respective IMAP-server - the point is that you can access that ...

  • Re: Mail Filiter inconsistancy?

Hello! Recently, I modified the Mail Filter so that any incoming mail addressed to a certain incoming email address (let's call it david@myaddress.com) would be automatically MOVEd to a special folder. However, even though this is the very first command in the Mail Filter, I noticed yesterday that a message had arrived and had ...

  • Re: Add an "X-Recipient header" to Mercury32?

Hello! As I do not use Mercury myself, I am not sure whether my following suggestion may help you. If the messages you have forwarded do not have an ''X-Recipient-header:''- or an ''X-Envelope-To:''-line, you may find a similar entry in the headers - ''similar'' means: an entry that descriibes what recipient the message was ...

  • Re: Unread mails getting marked as read and problems deleting some mails.

Hello! Are the messages you are talking about any HTML-messages? If so, what you see is that the message body is still displayed in preview even if you have deleted the message. In order to have this happen as described, several conditions need to be met:- you are suing preview mode (instead of list mode);- the message you want to delete ...

  • Re: Suggestions

Hello! manwithoutaname: Hello everyone. First of all, congratulations on 'Pegasus Mail'. Good user program. Not [yet] excellent to my standards [please read below]. As usual, such a statement depends on what you think is good / useful / needed for an e-mail client (or any other program). As every program has their flaws, you can only decide ...

  • Re: Message folder (.PMM file) won't open

Hello! jan78:Thank you. I'd like to think that's true, but I have a comparable folder that is 318MB with 54,356 messages, which opens, sorted, in 8 seconds. This folder seems to be truly hung up. If I leave it for half an hour it's *still* hung up. I suppose I could wait still longer, like overnight--do you suppose that would do it?Jan ps-Yes ...
