• Re: Sending Emails in Plain Text (not in html)

Flosex: I have posted an email to PM-WIN@LISTSERV>UA>EDU as you suggested. Can you tell if that is in HTML? It was Shades who suggested it, but it is in plain text only.

  • Re: Sending Emails in Plain Text (not in html)

Flosex: That's strange Shades that your group, also on RootsWeb, doesn't have this problem. This is a personal email I received from the group's administrator about the problem: ''When replying to a list message you must ensure that your email is being prepared in Plain Text. The size greatly increases when it is in HTML ...

  • Re: Sending Emails in Plain Text (not in html)

It is Identity specific, so if you use a different identity for that mailing list ensure it is checked in that one. I've just tried it and it works for me.

  • Re: Need TO to be equal to MailTo

Nobody has replied to this in over a week and I suspect it's a problem nobody else has had before. I've never had to change the mail destination address in the server (and I've never used ''rewrite'') but it seems that it can't be done by that method. Can you give more detail one why you need to change the domain on mail (is it incoming or ...

  • Re: Sending Emails in Plain Text (not in html)

Flosex: I am using Pegasus 4.72.572 on a Windows 10 computer. How can I send emails in plain text, please, as I appear to be sending them in html? Go to Tools / Options / Message formatting, and check the box ''Disable all text styling options...''

  • Re: How is a message delivered when To: header is missing?

Brian Fluet: Greenman, Concealing the recipient list in a message sent to a dlist is an excellent analogy to what I see. How it works remains a mystery. ;) The envelope is a fundamental process of email transportation and is a good analogy. The envelope, usually created by the original sender, contains the Mailfrom ...

  • Re: Spamhalter - Difference between "Excluding" and "Whitelisting"

Joerg: Every time I have to add mail addresses or domains for excluding from processing to Spamhalter, I'm wondering which Spamhalter setting section I should use for this task. I could add the address/domain to the list ''Exclude from processing'' or to the list ''Whitelist senders'' (or to both). But from my point of view both things cause ...

  • Re: 43925 password failures

Sr. Grumpy Bear:Thanks for the suggestion of Petr's daemon. Will check into that. Still thought though that Mercury has (had) something built into it. I think all Mercury server modules do have limits built in - but they only auto blacklist on multiple failures during the same connection. It ...

  • Re: All Events

That's done. As I said I'm changing it to cope with DMARC mailing list problems by altering From addresses (particularly yahoo ones!) and may change it from a script to something with less overhead.

  • Re: All Events

Gary: Wait, Paul? You said you had something that edits the subject line? Is the code protected -or- mind sharing? - Thanx Happy to share it but it's nothing special - just a compiled script that copies the message body line by line and modifies the subject line when it finds it. Originally I produced it to avoid overlong subject ...
