• Re: AW: Re: Crashy stuff?

I got some extra free time so I thought I could make an experience: I turned Preview mode ON, and as already mentioned its columns are undersized to my needs. I stretched each undersized column to comfortably accommodate all of its fields' contents, and then I closed it to save window and columns settings. Both state.pmj and folstate.pm files were ...

Brian Fluet:One thing to look at is whether any of the crashes are associated with attachment preview. I disabled the 'attachment preview by default' option a number of years ago but can't remember what the issue was. It's not enabled by default. Well noted! Here too I have ''Turn attachment preview off by default in the attachment ...

  • Re: Crashy stuff?

Well, you can do a search (any search will do) and result will be placed under Recent search results. Double-click the search you just did, adjust its columns as you like and save it as your default folder layout. Every other search will come out just as this one.

You must open any folder first. Go to your Folders pane, select any folder there, and then open it. You may see at menu bar the Folders option change into Folder from where you can find those mentioned options. It is important that your opened folder layout suits you. If not, change it to fit your needs, and only then pick Folder > Default ...

  • Re: Window arrangement and size

It is a transient menu. You have to be actually using a folder to have it visible on menu bar. Go to your Folders pane, open any folder of your choice, and you'll see the Folder option at the menu.

Melissa2011B: Brian Fluet: Euler GERMAN:That's awkward. Pegasus Mail saves windows and columns sizes on closing.... Keep in mind that Pegasus Mail does not do well at saving the desktop state when it's main window is maximized. I don't know whether this applies to folder layouts of folders that aren't open when Pegasus Mail is closed but ...

  • Re: Crashy stuff?

Glad you mentioned that, Brian. It's been quite a time when this ''maximized main window'' thing was brought to user's attention. Was that on v3.12c days?

  • Re: Crashy stuff?

Melissa2011B: I am having other problems though. Like when I do a search for a name in Pegasus, and then try to open an email that the search produced, and it dings me about 4 times, with error messages that I have to keep closing, then I can eventually open the email that I want to see. Are you searching local folders or remote IMAP ...

  • SMTP test tool

Folks, Looking at today's posts of GRC's Usenet I found a tool some of you may wanna try. The author also provides the full source code of the application. Following below, some of author's notes: Wrote the tool quite some time ago for my personal needs, but since it may be useful for other people willing to run checks on SMTP servers and since ...
