• Re: Runtime error 216 on exiting Pegasus.

Windows 10 x64 Anniversary build. I don't get any error messages on close but most times Pegasus doesn't refresh my desktop screen leaving the Pegasus window displayed. Not sure if this is related. I get round the problem by not closing Pegasus and leaving it running all day.. Pegasus 4.7 as it was installed in Windows 7 before I updated to W10, ...

  • Desktop repaint problems on closing PM - Windows 10

I posted this a couple of weeks earlier on the PM-Win list. I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Home. Pegasus works OK with no issues apart from when I close the program (either with the cross in the top corner or file/exit) the desktop doesn't always refresh and I am left with most of the Pegasus window showing even though the ...

  • Re: pm-win mailing list posting problems

Thanks Brian, just tried the query email to LISTSERV, zero reponse as of yet - no bounces or anything, maybe a routing issue or something. The web interface confirms I am subscribed. Dave

  • pm-win mailing list posting problems

I have been subscribed to PM-WIN@LISTSERV.UA.EDU for many years and have had no problems posting to it. Coincidentally with the issue of v4.71 I tried to post some comments but the posts are not coming through, neither to me to my registered email nor appearing in the archive. The online site confirms I am subscribed. I am still receiving posts ...

  • Re: Customised toolbar

Thanks for the explanation Michael. I also didn't like the button there, especially since it is one you will probably rarely use. I tried the IERenderer for a couple of days but have decided to go back to BearHTML. The scrolling issue I used to have with Bear seems to have been cured in the latest version so I am happy to stick with Bear at the ...

  • Re: Ordered but didn't get Pegasus Manual

You no longer need to 'order' the manual for Pegasus, for a year or so it has been available for free download at There is also provision for donating to the project via PayPal (though I can't seem to find the relevant page at the moment?). Presumably you used the ''Buy Manuals'' button within Pegasus Mail? ...

  • Re: [Type unknown] attachment ?

Note that the existing version of OpenOffice (2.4) does NOT support docx import. But v3 which is currently in final stages of Beta does. I gather that v3 will be formally issued in around a couple of weeks, when it does this may be your best option.

  • Re: Pegasus 4.41, Bell Sympatico (Canada) and Comodo Firewall 2.4x

The Windows firewall only checks incoming traffic, not outgoing. Many of us like to see what programs are accessing the internet and keep a track on them. You need a software firewall for this, the Windows one is totally ineffective. Can't help you with Comodo I am afraid (but loads of people use it, I think we would have heard if it didn't work ...

  • Re: Opera 9.5

There is now a new update to the Opera browser.js file which seems to cure this on 9.50. To make sure you get this immediately rather than part of the weekly checks you need to type opera:config then navigate to UserPrefs/BrowserJavaScript and set the value to 1, then click on Help/Check for Updates. Assuming this reply appears my machine will be ...
