• Re: Selecting and filtering

Rupert:Were you able to actually access the help information when you tested? I tried a variety of methods for opening and all I could get was the index. I couldn't actually access any information. All I got was the index when trying to open the .cnm directly from the zip as well as when trying to open it from a zip extraction to a flash ...

  • Re: Wildcards in mail filtering rules

A new mail filter on folder open will do what you want. It acts on messages as they are downloaded as well as when the folder is opened so a rule with a move action will drop the detected messages into the destination folder. You won't ever see them in the new mail folder.

  • Re: Cleaning up a Pegasus Mail installation.

I can't say for certain that the lack of a printer is the cause for your slowdown. It's just one of the causes in the list. In days long past I remember having to install the Generic Text Printer driver on PC's that weren't connected to a printer just so that a default printer existed. Unfortunately my experience with running ...

  • Re: Cleaning up a Pegasus Mail installation.

The folders in the folder tree are sorted alphabetically. There isn't any way to change that. A workaround is to be creative with folder names. For example, I use the folder name '' 01_Junk or suspicious mail'' to keep my junk mail folder at the top of the list rather then down with the ''J's'' (notice the space before the ...

  • Re: Wildcards in mail filtering rules

A header rule simply detects content of a header so if you select the From header and then enter ''verizon.net'' (without the quotes) the result will be that any From header that contains ''verizon.net'' anywhere in the header will trigger the rule. Be aware that a filter on verizon.net is a pretty wide net to cast. You mentioned that you ...

  • Re: Wildcards in mail filtering rules

An expression filter is one of the rule types (second option when creating a new rule). Clicking the Help button in the toolbar of a rules window and it will take you to the help topic on filtering as will selecting the topic ''Rule-based mail filtering'' (a sub-topic of ''Automated mail processing'') from the Contents tab of the main help ...

Wildcards only work in expression filters. Details about what metacharacters Pegasus Mail will recognize are available via the Help button.

  • Re: Unable to send email

Based on what I can find via a web search, try these settings for you SMTP host: On the General tab: Server host name: smtp.comcast.net Port: 587 Timeout: 180 Leave the remaining options unticked. On the Security tab: In the top section select ''via direct SSL connect''. Leave all other options blank. In the bottom section ...

Your credentials are included in your post in easily decodeable format. You should make changing your credentials your first priority. Unfortunately I can't help you with Comcast specifically; only to suggest you confirm your smtp host configuration with current Comcast specs.
