• Re: AW: Re: Crashy stuff?

Euler GERMAN:After that I had Pegasus Mail completely shut down. After initiating a new Pmail session I could confirm that Preview mode window was just as I had it set, both window size and positions as well as columns lengths. To be honest, I'd be very surprised if otherwise given David H. coding skills and project care. Interesting! I ...

  • Re: AW: Re: Crashy stuff?

Joerg:In the meantime everyone could report different things which let Pmail crash. In our day-by-day work we try to avoid them by filtering spam, drilling our local users, restrict attachments, etc., but all in all we desire that Pmail becomes more stable and insensitive to the increasing e-mail non-conformities of the internet. PMail is pretty ...

  • Re: Crashy stuff?

Melissa2011B, Are you running in Preview mode? If you aren't then there isn't any need to read any further. If you are, it would explain the lack of a ''Folder'' pull-down menu and a lot of the confusion/frustration that you have expressed in this discussion. When in Preview mode I see that the time/date column in the message list ...

  • Re: Window arrangement and size

An explanation might be that you are opening existing search results folders. IIRC, their layouts won't change during the current session. I don't recall whether they do on the subsequent startup. You should however see the change in new search results windows. Be aware that the search results window contains a Folder and Score ...

  • Re: Crashy stuff?

Euler GERMAN:Glad you mentioned that, Brian. It's been quite a time when this ''maximized main window'' thing was brought to user's attention. Was that on v3.12c days? Ok Euler, now you're just showing off, quoting the first 32 bit version compiled on 2/24/00. How the heck am I supposed to remember that long ago. It has been around ...

  • Re: Crashy stuff?

Euler GERMAN:That's awkward. Pegasus Mail saves windows and columns sizes on closing.... Keep in mind that Pegasus Mail does not do well at saving the desktop state when it's main window is maximized. I don't know whether this applies to folder layouts of folders that aren't open when Pegasus Mail is closed but if you're running with the ...

  • Re: IE Renderer v2.6.2.0 problem(s)

Yes, it would be nice if the history on the download page included v2.6.2.12 but it's not like v2.6.2.12 isn't disclosed. Information about it is in the History.htm file included in the downloaded zip.

  • Question re potential distribution list issues

I am in the process of creating my first distribution list of any significant size in Pegasus Mail. I anticipate around 70 entries. MercuryE will be handling the sending. I won't be surprised to receive a number of invalid address errors due to the list source being a couple of years old. I recall discussions in the past ...

  • Re: Can't reindex or delete an open folder - how do I close it

irelam:Then shutdown Pegasus Mail and use Windows Explorer etc to delete them both. You can then recreate the folder, BUT any rules will have to be re-established as Pegasus Mail uses the internal names for folders etc Consider creating the new Main folder by using the default copy stored in PMAIL\PROGRAMS\DEFAULTS (MAIN.PMM and MAIN.PMI). ...
