• Re: Address Book - without write permissions in Pmail programs folder?

Hello Joerg, You can put the system-wide address book outside of Pegasus Mail using either a system environment variable or by using the -V command line option. SET PMR=PATH or -V PMR=PATH

  • Re: Dropbox and Pegasus Mail

I don't think so. Attempts to maintain a mailbox directory synchronized between two devices has been problematic because the sync process interferes with the routine writing/updating of files. If you used Dropbox, it could only sync when Pegasus Mail was not running on either device otherwise you'll have problems. Can it be ...

  • Re: Filter incoming mail into a folder

My bad for responding the way I did. I responded as appropriate for Pegasus Mail missing the fact that this is the Mercury forum. Please accept my apology for that. As for Mercury, there isn't a way to set the ''has been read'' status nor filter directly into a folder from Mercury. Those would need to be done at the client ...

  • Re: Filter incoming mail into a folder

Since you want to filter all incoming mail it would be better to create the rule as a new mail filtering rule when folder is opened. All incoming mail automatically get processed through these filter rules. To perform two actions (mark as read and move) I find it most logical to branch to a label something like this:If From contains ...

  • Re: junk and suspicious mail

A right click on a folder displays three entries associated with autofilters, ''Autofilter configured'', ''Message filing active'', ''Address gathering active''. Any that are enabled will display a checkmark next them. I don't believe autofiltering can be enabled for the new mail folder. So, when it comes to filtering into a ...

Don't forget autofilters. Also, there is a line in philip's last post that said ''The junk mail folder disappears and all incoming mail then stays in the 'New mail' folder.''. A folder shouldn't disappear so I'm curious about exactly what is happening.

  • Re: junk and suspicious mail

You don't have any rules yet disabling the execution of rules solved the problem. Hmmm..... Methinks you have a rule somewhere. Your fix only pertains to the previewing of the folder. If you open it, mail will be processed through whatever rule exists.

  • Re: exporting messages

You're describing the OS thinking the drive is out of space. To confirm that I would attempt to copy the Pegasus Mail Main folder file using a file explorer and see if that works. I suggest having a current backup of your home mailbox directory before starting. Close Pegasus Mail Use a file explorer to navigate to the home mailbox ...

  • Re: exporting messages

The folder has hit the 2GB size limit. Additional space is needed to perform moves and that space isn't available. Here is how to recover from the 2GB size folder limit:1. Move all messages you want to save to a temporary folder and delete the remaining messages out of the affected folder. If you want to keep them all ...

  • Re: junk and uspicious mail

Sounds like an autofilter is acting on these messages. To check that, right click on any folder in the folder list then select Manage Autofilter folders. The resulting window will list all that exist.
