• Autoresponders

Hi Folks I have set up an autoresponder using the Alias feature of Mercury32 V4.52. I have configured the Alias to respond using a template. Thus: Alias = grennman@mydomain.com Real Address = tfile:path\filnename.mer The autoresponder works fine, but, the local user does not recieve the message that triggered the response. Is this ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

iordanis Many thanks for the information. We have now moved over to SMTP for all email for our organisation. I assume that telling the POP3 to download to the temporary location keeps it out of sight of the Core Process, so the Core Process cannot forward it prematurely? Thomas Did you mean the 'Local user' in the POP3 configuration dialog ...

@Thomas R. Stephenson: Thanks for your reply, however, our POP3 server requires a username and password otherwise mail cannot be retrieved. @iordanis: Also, thanks for the reply. But, how did you do this?

Hi Thomas, thanks again for taking the time to reply. What I don't understand is when mail to our organisation was being delivered via POP3, messages with attachments were delivered to user's inboxes in fragments. However, when the same messages are delivered via SMTP the user receives a single message. The way ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

I have just sent the same attachment which has been delivered directly to my Pegasus mailbox by the SMTP module (not via POP3) and the file arrived in one piece. Is there a problem with the POP3 module/Mercury Core Module? This seems very strange.

Hi Apologies for the late reply. My colleague and I have been busy with this and other matters. The downloaded data is being written to a RAID5 array comprising 4 fast SATA disks in a NAS device. The same array is used to store our working data and we have not experienced any delays reading/writing/copying to/from the array ...

  • Re: Pegasus crashes when printing

The MS error reporting window appears. There are no firewall issues, the entire IP range on the LAN is trusted and allowed by the firewall, and there are no issues printing to other shared printers from any other applications. It would seem to be limited to Pegasus Mail.

  • Re: Pegasus crashes when printing

Hi Folks Thanks a lot for the suggestions. All the clients are WinXP Pro SP2. The problem occurs when trying to print from Pegasus on any of them. Other applications have no problem using the same printer. I am reluctant to turn off bi-directional as this will reduce the functionality of the HP services offered to the people who use ...

  • Pegasus crashes when printing

Greetings Pegasus Mail 4.41 is installed on several WinXP Pro SP2 machines. All mailboxes are stored on a NAS server. I have an issue where printing to a specific printers causes Pegasus Mail to crash. The printer is a brand new HP Color Laserjet 1600 and is connected to a WinXP Pro SP2 client and shared. Printing from Pegasus Mail on the ...
