• Re: Public image

Hi Philip,I agree with you 100%. If any newby was to come here to learn more they would get the impression that Pegasus Mail is dead and buried. To add to your observations: Why is this site still using http and not https? Lets Encrypt certificates are free so it cannot be due to lack of funds. The copyright info at the bottom of the page ends at ...

  • Re: Crash and lost Emails (v4.71)

Brian Fluet:Pegasus Mail comes with utilities called mbxmaint.exe and mbxmaint_ui.exe. The ''ui'' version has an easy to use GUI. Hi Brian, Yes I found that after the most serious damage was done from my initial attempts to fix it. If ever it happens again (hope not..) then I'll try that first to see if it ...

  • Re: Crash and lost Emails (v4.71)

I seemed to have fixed the problem:I closed Pegasus, located and renamed the current MAIL folder to ''MAIL_Current''Restored the 2 week old MAIL folder, opened Pegasus and checked that the emails in the problem folder were not corrupted (all looked good).Right-clicked the folder to restore and selected ''Folder information'' to find the folder's ...

  • Crash and lost Emails (v4.71)

I rarely have any problems with Pegasus, but today I've encountered something new and I'm not sure how to solve it. While writing an email I went to a folder of 1055 saved emails from that person and chose ''Start new email to sender'' as I wanted to cut and paste the email address they used for that particular email. Pegasus crashed and when I ...

  • Re: 4.71 Queue Manager

I've been experiencing the problem the last few days. I'm glad this forum's here to confirm that it's a Pegasus bug and not something more seriously wrong with my system. When I want to modify an outgoing email in the cue and then press the ''Send now'' button it just hangs with a ''SMTP: Preparing mail for sending'' message at the bottom that ...

  • ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8

I've been using ISO-8859-1 forever and am now realizing that there are many special characters, especially foreign ones, that display only in UTF-8. Before changing the default MIME character set in Pegasus are there any reasons not to use UTF-8 in 2016? (Note that I still send only text emails) Tnx :-) Russell

  • Re: Multiple mailboxes

I assume you want to keep all mail sent and received for each mailbox separate. I have multiple mailboxes and just configure each with it's own identity. If I want to have incoming mail put into their own folder then I just create a Mail Filtering Rule that moves all incoming mail that matches a ''to'' field to it's own special folder. I think ...

  • PMail utility that might make money for David

There are still a lot of folks using POP mail accounts, and one of the really useful features of Pegasus is its ability to view and delete mail on a mail server without having to download it. This feature could be useful for folks who might not want, or cannot use, Pegasus. Having a small utility that allowed one to view and delete mail on a mail ...
