I would like to have a command line switch like Pmail for Dos, where it is -r. This shall do the rules and exit pmail after that.

You may want to look at the various flow control options, using labels, Goto's, Calls, and Returns. Using these you can define blocks of rules. Then you control the position of the blocks using Calls and Returns. If you want to move the block, just move the single Call rule.

Some probe mailers only send headers, or when communication is interrupted you can end up with an e-mail without a body content. Many client software have BIG trouble getting these e-mails over POP3. If you add a global filtering rule to RULES.MER with the following line:
