  • Reverse folder behavior in PM vs. IMAP

Something strange. When creating an sub folder in PM, it's appear as an root folder in IMAP client, and the other way round, when creating an sub folder in IMAP client, it's appear as an root folder in PM. Moving the IMAP folder, in PM, for it's right place as sub folder everything  is in the right place. I don't know if it is PM or Mercury, ...

  • Auto-purge of TRASH folder?

I'm pretty sure I'm having a ''senior moment'' here, as I'm pretty sure I saw, at one time — and even changed — a value that specified how long messages were retained in the IMAP TRASH folder before being purged. Now I can't find it to save my butt, and have even looked all over the fora and the help systems for Mercury and Pegasus. I'd like for ...

  • IMAP does not connect with Pegasus client running on server

Long time user, first time poster . . . I've just converted my home Mercury server (gathers several POP3 accounts for myself and my wife, distributes them back to us through Pegasus) to deliver mail using IMAP instead of POP3. I've got it all working just fine, locally and from various remote installations, but IMAP clients will not connect to ...

  • Re: Mercury and Thunderbird - getting mails doesn't work

Peter Strömblad:I'm having a hard time following your question. Is it IMAP that doesn't work? If so, try enabling session logging in MercuryI, and see what goes wrong from one of your client computers. If you see no activity at all, I'd say you have a firewall problem with your 2008 server, not allowing connections over TCP port 143 to Mercury, ...

  • Moving from Windows Mail to Mercury

Hi,  I've been using Mercury/32 for a while now as a POP3 server. With the growth of different devices (mobiles, webmail etc) that I can use to talk to the server, I would prefer to switch to IMAP4. Setting it up is easy and I'm happy with that side of things. But are there any tips or pitfalls from trying to move my existing email from ...

  • Subscribed mail folders for IMAP users disappearing

Hello, Over the past few days several of our IMAP users have been losing their IMAP folder subscriptions (including myself). Some of the users are using Outloook w/ IMAP and I'm using Thunderbird. The only symptom is that the subscribed folders disappear from the folder list but we are able to re-subscribe to them without difficulty. However, ...
