IMAP problems and disappearing emails

Ive got an IMAP profile to my ISP ( blueyonder.co.uk, I think subcontracted their mail to Google about 12 months ago ). I get , seemingly random messages that there has been an error on connection and then open an email from ???? that has no content. the email is recoverable from the [GoogelMail] All Mail folder . ...
