  • MercuryD and non-local messages

    I need to find a way to have mercury respond to an email sent to an invalid user. We have an ISP setup for our Email using a catch-all Domain Mailbox.  All mail sent ot our domain is held there.  We then use MercuryD to retrieve those emails and distribute to the local users.  Occasionally an email will have an invalid ...

    Doesn't look good, I'm afraid. With invalid entries for local user, default user and postmaster there is no place for MercuryD to deliver the mail so it will not be saved - just as you probably already realized. I hope all the messages were spam... By the way, with a correct local account entered as local user there is no need for a default user ...
