  • Internet Setup Wizard won't remember settings

I have run the Internet Setup Wizard to the proper settings for POP3 and SMTP, but it doesn't seem to want to use them. Every time I open the program I have to go into the  proper tabs, hit [Add], select the proper addresses (which only now come into the window) and hit [Select].  This works for this session, but I have to go thru the ...

  • Re: Socket read timeout

Thanks, Thomas. I do not think it is a firewall or DNS problem as MS-Office Outlook 2003 is able to connect to the account from the same machine. I can also ping all forms of the address, including the real POP3 server addresses you quote above. Cheers!

  • Socket read timeout

Hello I have read about the same issue here http://community.pmail.com/forums/thread/926.aspx and understand this may not be a Pegasus Mail problem. When I try to poll a POP3 box or send mail to a newly created Googlemail account I get a Socket Read Timeout error. POP3:--- Tue, 01 Jul 2008 10:17:08 ---Connect to ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

Hi Thomas, thanks again for taking the time to reply. What I don't understand is when mail to our organisation was being delivered via POP3, messages with attachments were delivered to user's inboxes in fragments. However, when the same messages are delivered via SMTP the user receives a single message. The way ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

I have just sent the same attachment which has been delivered directly to my Pegasus mailbox by the SMTP module (not via POP3) and the file arrived in one piece. Is there a problem with the POP3 module/Mercury Core Module? This seems very strange.
