  • Accessing single POP3 email account from Multiple Computers

Is it possible to use Pegasus/Mercury to access a single POP3 email account from two computers at the same time without running into mailbox integrity issues?  We have been using Eudora on our desktop computer but if I install it on my wife's new laptop and then set it to use the same files on the desktop if both programs are accessing ...

  • Re: Socket read timeout

Thanks, Thomas. I do not think it is a firewall or DNS problem as MS-Office Outlook 2003 is able to connect to the account from the same machine. I can also ping all forms of the address, including the real POP3 server addresses you quote above. Cheers!

  • Socket read timeout

Hello I have read about the same issue here http://community.pmail.com/forums/thread/926.aspx and understand this may not be a Pegasus Mail problem. When I try to poll a POP3 box or send mail to a newly created Googlemail account I get a Socket Read Timeout error. POP3:--- Tue, 01 Jul 2008 10:17:08 ---Connect to ...

  • POP3/IMAP and eDirectory's Universal Passwords

I have been using Pegasus/Mercury since the mid 90's at our Non Profit Community Service agency. Since then, we have grown from a hand full of computers to nearly 300, with locations spread out over a 10 county area.  Our remote locations use POP3 (we are changing to IMAP). With the addition of remote access via an SSL/VPN connection I have ...

  • POP3 Mail Fails, NOD32 Interaction

My POP3 mail fails with just one of my three users, running WinXP SR2.  Whenever I attempt to download the mail, the NOD32 antivirus program attempts a download, and eventually the POP3 mail download stops trying to get mail, on message 1 of 10.  I have tried rebooting, no change.  I have gone to the NOD32 program to ask for ...
