Running Windows 10 on a DIY computer (no recent hardware upgrades). I was having problems showing up in the Event Monitor, mostly with Explorer, and ran sfc /scannow, then DISM, then repeated sfc /scannow. These are commands to repair files in the OS, and the repairs were made. That fixed THAT problem, but that's when I found I ...
I am an unsophisticated old man, with only a hazy idea of email protocols. So be patient with me... I have used Pegasus for decades, as a POP-3 client. When my university abandoned their own mail system and subscribed to M-S 360, they discontinued POP-3 support entirely. (They have only IMAP.) I do not want my mail stored ...
I am currently using domain hosting with yahoo for all my emails.
I am using mercury pop3 client to retrieve email from domain and distribute to local users.
Mercury is deleting emails in yahoo domain after it retrieves them.
Is there any way to stop it from deleting the emails in yahoo after it retrieves them?
I've been using Pegasus Mail since the mid-1980s. and rarely have problems. Lately I've been having trouble retrieving emails with fairly large attachments (2 - 6 or more MB), so I tried changing my connection entry settings to leave larger emails on the server. Not only did that fail to screen out any emails, now when I press ''Check ...
Within Pegasus Mail there is an option when setting up POP3 access to delete the mail from the server once it has been retrieved. Is it possible to do this with the POP3 client in Mercury?

This one has been bugging me for years: BearHTML stops downloading images after *any* POP3 download. (FYI, my Pmail is set to ''display remote images manually''.)
Steps to reproduce:

- click to download your emails via POP3
- open *any* HTML message (for which you have not downloaded images yet), and bring up the context-menu
my e-mail provider asked me to change my password because it was too short. I changed it and then wanted to chnage it on Pegasus so that pegasus would be able to pick up my mail. But it won't change in Pegasus. I looked in the following location Tools>Internet options>Receiving>Edit, entered the new password and clicked on ''OK''. ...
I got tired of getting POP3 attacks such as these, which happened this afternoon.
Several hours later, after translating the Mercury daemon headers into Delphi.... I wrote a Mercury daemon in Delphi, and tried it out....
I tried connecting to my own POP3 server (just connecting, no password guessing at all, and it worked). The trigger is ...
I have run the Internet Setup Wizard to the proper settings for POP3 and SMTP, but it doesn't seem to want to use them.
Every time I open the program I have to go into the proper tabs, hit [Add], select the proper addresses (which only now come into the window) and hit [Select]. This works for this session, but I have to go thru the ...

While configuring a new email account, there seemed to be a problem with how the two POP3 Internet Options worked in the ''Checking for Multiple Identities'' section.
When set to this ''identity,'' I wanted Pegasus to check for any email in this account AND in all other accounts. But, I didn't want this account ...
