  • Serious Thread/Memory leak - Win7-64 & PMail 4.52

Background: Pegasus Mail 4.52, dual-core AMD, Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit), POP3 account (SSL encrypted) On startup, PMail uses about 6MB RAM, 85 handles and 2 threads (according to both Task Manager and Resource Monitor). Every time PMail checks for mail (manually or by scheduled polling), the thread count goes up 3-4 during the check, but ...

  • Messages remaining in \MAIL\username folder

Hello! I hope this issue isn't covered elsewhere.  We're big fans of Mercury and it's been a very reliable piece of software...thanks! I'm using Mercury 4.62 and over the last month I've noticed something odd. Mail is remaining in the drop folder for users and when I set session logs on, it claims there is nothing there to send even ...

  • Leaving Messages on the Server

I'm using Pmail 4.52 as a stand alone client for my POP3 email. With other email clients I've always been able to configure them to leave X number of days of mail on the server.  This is so IF I'm away from my computer but need to use email, I can use any computer with a web browser to access the webmail client and I'll at least be able to ...

  • Downloading n of m, but less than m messages turn up

Sometimes when I download mail Pegasus will say ''Downloading 1 of 10...'' and go through getting a few messages. But it doesn't get all 10, it stops after 6, 7, 8 messages. These happily appear in the new messages folder. If I try to get mail again, there is nothing on the server. 1) What happened to the remainder of the 10 messages?  I ...

  • Can not access email using MercuryP and Outlook Express

We are using Mercury 4.51 on windows server 2003.  All users are using Pegasus to access their emails but now some are asking to use Outlook Express and Pop3. • Re: Pegasus on linux server

Hello, Thomas,  Thank you for your reply. I must say that sounds an original solution but not one that I can follow at the moment. What I really need is a native linux popper that will dump new mail into the pegasus folder with a .CNM extension. Then Pegasus can access that folder via a Samba share on the server and conduct business as ...

  • Centralised Mail; will Mercury be right for me?

In my home I have 3 PCs networked together. I have a standard POP3 email account. I have no mail server. What I want to do is this: I want to use a mail client at any of my PCs so that I can pick up/send mail. But I need only one local mail store, so that if I log on from another PC next time. All my mail is available there. I have tried ...
