  • I don't receive delivery failure notifications

Hello from Australia  I think I have a fairly simplistic Mercury setup, just using the MercuryC (SMTP Client) and MercuryD (POP3 Client) modules.  Therefore most of the work of the system is handled by my ISP. As per this post's subject, the problem I have is I'm not recevied any failure notifications (presumably generated by my ISP) ...

  • Print incoming mail and attachments

Long time reader, first time poster :) Reading the manual, I've managed to set up a general rule set and alias that prints any emails addressed to orders@...  At this stage it doesn't print an attachment if there is one.  I get the impression this is possible, but I'm not sure which action I should select, and what to do with that ...

  • Newbie with a 'different' server platform...

I am attempting to implement Mercury as my mail server, running on a Windows Home Server (or WHS - based on Microsoft SBS 2003 technology).  No experience setting up mail servers. No problems with install on the WHS - so far so good. Now for configuration... The WHS and a four-station network sit behind a NAT firewall router. The WHS is ...

  • Re: POP3 Downloading

Sorry about this - the POP3 modules were not downloading anything. No *.MD files were in the folder. What was happening was that the MessageLabs banner was not visible in one view - all mail defaults to plain text view, and although the banner is visible in the majority of these, it is not visible in others. Switching views revealed the banner. ...

  • Re: Problem with change the timezone.

This is a known POP3 problem in all current Mercury Implementations. The message UID (unique identifier) is computed based on current time, when the time offset changes, each message that is already marked read (filenames with !xxx.cnm) computes a new UID which the email client does not recognize. This causes all emails to be downloaded again, ...

  • POP3 Downloading

Hi again We have two POP3 accounts defined in the Mercury POP3 module. Both are presently disabled. This morning I discovered that even though they are both disabled, Mercury was still downloading from one of them. I wanted to keep the account information within Mercury, but did not want to use them while we are testing the SMTP ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

Hi Thomas, thanks again for taking the time to reply. What I don't understand is when mail to our organisation was being delivered via POP3, messages with attachments were delivered to user's inboxes in fragments. However, when the same messages are delivered via SMTP the user receives a single message. The way ...

  • Re: Multiple copies of email from POP3 download

I have just sent the same attachment which has been delivered directly to my Pegasus mailbox by the SMTP module (not via POP3) and the file arrived in one piece. Is there a problem with the POP3 module/Mercury Core Module? This seems very strange.

Hi Thanks for replying  Can you tell me where these polling controls are located in the configuration options in Mercury32. I've had a look but am unable to see them. Cheers!  Dale

  • Mercury/32 UIDL Patch for MercuryP v4.51

A patch for MercuryP v4.51 is now available at http://community.pmail.com/files/folders/patches/entry2517.aspx. The patch addresses the UIDL response to issue a NUL list instead of issuing an error when a maildrop is empty. The RFC regarding this response is vague, however the previous error response from Mercury when the maildrop is empty causes ...
