  • how to save and recover a complete installation

Hello, my Mercury is running very well now and I am very glad that it works so good. (thx to Mr Stephens) Now I want to save the settings, so that I can recover the complete installation without a new setup. I really don't remember all the settings I've made  the last 6 Weeks.   Is it possible -foe example- to save a *.ini file and ...

  • How can I restore Pegasus Mail from a no longer booting hard drive?

A malware attack left me with a hard drive partition where booting will never again be an option.  I can't directly access the partition but I can still copy files off of it.  The partition had Windows XP Home and I now have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.  I don't know what version of Pegasus Mail was on the XP partition.  How can ...

  • Re: Vanishing folders

Hi First of all, make a backup of your entire C:\Pmail folder by copying it into new folder (e.g. C:\mail-backup). If your messages are stored elsewhere, make a backup of that folder, too. Next, open the original C:\Pmail folder and choose detail view then sort by file type. Create a folder on your desktop called CNM. Move all files ending .cnm ...

  • Re: Backup of Folders, change of date

I have a similar problem where I work - some users have >1.5GB mail folders. The best solution, if you do not want to backup the folder each time just because the date has changed or because a 2kb email has been added to it is to split the folder into smaller folders. I don't mean to create trays - I mean to create several new folders and ...

  • Backup of Folders, change of date

I do very regular backup of my office pmail/mail folder into a portable hard disk. There is a program ''SecondCopy'' I use for this. It seems version 4.51 changes the dates of the folder files, even when you do not access any of this e-mail folders, but through the Folders window presentation. That implies very ''historical'' folders, with huge ...

  • Pegasus deleted too many messages!

I've got Pegasus 4.41 (Win32), XP Home.  This has got me twice now.   The cursor is on a message I wish to delete (say, New York Times) in the New Mail Folder.  I Sort on the From column so I can delete all of the New York Times messages at the same time.  I hold Shift while selecting the bottom of the series.  Then ...

  • Backup and restore files from 2 sources

I have a user who uses Pegasus Mail 4.4. The use copies the whole Winpmail directory to a server as a backup. The user deleted some folders in Pegasus but would like  to know if he can retrieve the Pegasus folders from the server where he copied the local winpmail directory. Please Advise. Thanks, Denny

  • Re: How long after an MX record is changed will the change take effect?

Greylisting won't help you because the spammers can just dump their mail onto your backup MX which will then happily relay it on to you from both a trusted and persistent (genuine) mailer and address.   It's unlikely that a UK ISP would neglect to provide an outgoing smarthost (SMTP/submission) server.  But yes, MercuryE is the module ...
