  • How can I make automated backups of Mercury's files?

I run Mercury with great success, but now that I am handling mail for a few friends I'm worried about data reliability.  I'd like to make Mercury's user/mail files part of a regular, automated backup regimen.  How can I best back up all the user files and configuration?  Is there a way to stop/close Mercury so the files are unlocked or not in ...

  • Re: Wishlist - Archiving Old Folders to avoid Backup Needs but keep accesss as READ ONLY

Another option that may be of some use: Mailbag Assistant from Fookes Software. It will read the emails from Pegasus into it's own format/application. Date ranges can be used for the import process, save the resultant file *.mbg. Now you can view, search, slice and dice (sort by mailbox [Pegasus Folder]), who, date and subject. When the message is ...

The ADMIN folder is where my mail is stored. I forgot that there would be ...

Right-click it and change Properties to ''Close on Exit''.Make a shortcut to this file, and use it to launch Pegasus. :: At a minimum it would make one backup as follows.copy hierarch.pm ...

  • Re: Saving Folders/attachments

You can, although not from within the program. Right mouse on the folder in the folderslisting and go Folder information. You will find the file name in there. Now close down Pegasus Mail and go to the Home mailbox directory. Copy (do not move) both the <name>.PMM and <name>.PMI file to any other place you want. Restart Pegasus Mail ...

  • Getting old backups together

How to put mails from 5 different computers together?  I used Pegasus since forever. And, whenever I moved, I simply made a backup of my emails and started afresh on a new machine. In years, I got backups from say, ''1998-01'', and ''2004 only'' and ''2001-2005, without 2004''.  I need single copies of all mail stored in all these ...
