  • Re: subfolders gone - Pconfig dosbox

thanks for all the replies... I came across this http://www.vandenbogaerde.net/pegasusmail/pf_pmfiles.html mentioning old subfolders having extensions.PMI and PMM You can use this searchprogram on your harddisk to find it, even in recycle bins https://www.voidtools.com/Everything-1.3.4.686.x86-Setup.exe Now I need to figure out how to put ...

  • Warning - deleting empty folders, not always safe

I was getting a network error on Mercury today, so it wasn't retrieving my new email. Then I had a brainwave. Last week while exploring 'Kerish Doctor''s options, I saw that it could search for and delete all empty folders. Great, I hate empty folders! So, fortunately it had a 'rollback' option, so I did that and all is well again.P.S. Kerish ...

  • Recent messages in a folder missing: My restore process

I noticed that the last couple of years messages from one folder were missing. My fix:I knew some text that would be in the most recent missing email, so I searched the MAIL\username folder for that text using Agent Ransack. This identified a PMI/PMM pair that held the missing emails. They had a different filename from the current truncated files.I ...

  • Lost folder structure

Hello, I am using Pmail ver 4.7 on Win XP. I just had a system crash and, when Pegasus started up, the folder structure had disappeared. Everything is at top level.  Is there any way to get it back???  Thank you. Lydia

  • Re: New Mercury release status

Hmm ... that's not Pegasus Mail you use to read your IMAP-Folder! Oh - I see - Thunderbird behaves like that. On creating an IMAP-folder  with Mercury as IMAP-Server, in this process you decide, if the folder will be a folder containing mails or a folder behaving as a tray. Once a folder is declared as holding mails, you can't create a ...

  • Displaying messages in folder without using Pegasus Mail

I need to send someone all of the mail in one of my folders. It would be easy enough to just zip a copy of the folder and hand it to them, but they don't use Pegasus, and would need a way to access and print some of the messages. Is there some lightweight stand-alone or portable application for Windows that they can use to view the folder's ...

  • Exporting Pegasus folders to Thunderbird other MBX / EML format client

Firstly, I hope you don't have to leave Pegasus, I'd encourage you to stay. As for me, I have moved (after >20 years) from Pegasus. Perhaps temporarily, to Thunderbird. (As yet, I don't find it as convenient) I could not find a free utility to convert .PMM files to .MBX ones. so I could export from Pegasus to Thunderbird  [  I'm ...

  • Need to have outbound email go to a folder instead of leaving the server

Hello, I am using Mercury mail V4.74. I have the Core application, MercuryS SMTP server, and the MercuryE SMTP Client running. I am trying to figure out how to capture all outbound mail from the server to a local folder WITHOUT letting it leave the server. I have a problem where duplicate emails are coming in to the server from a web ...

  • New Mail folder is missing

I had to re-install Pegasus 4.6.  I first copied the Hierarch.pm file as it was when last used.  I copied it back into the PMAIL\FILE folder and then ran the program I had newly installed.  All is well except that there is no Mailbox tray and no New Mail folder.  The rest of the trays and files are present.  Before the ...

  • Auto open IMAP folder when new mail arrives?

Hi I have been looking around for a while now, but can't see any obvious way to get Pegasus Mail to automatically open an IMAP mail folder when new mail arrives in that folder. I use Gmail as my main email provider and have many folders (gmail labels) and many filters set up in gmail, so I see the same folder structure on all my devices and on ...
