  • Pegasus Hangs When Creating a New Folder

Using v4.72.572 on Windows 10 I have 4 users using Pegasus and 3 work perfectly and have for 10+ years. Recently, 1 of the 4 has developed 2 obvious problems:  1) When opening a session, Pegasus opens but cannot be seen on the screen. I have to go to Task Manager, select Pegasus, and choose ''Maximize'' so that I can use it.  (If I ...

  • Opening "New Mail" results in endless filtering which prevents Pegasus from operating

About three months ago my house electricity supply failed while Pegasus V4.63 (Win 32) Dec 22 2011, build 325 was 'reading new mail' after the download command was executed. I have some thousands of un-filed new mail messages which take a few minutes for Pegasus to load. It always reports that it is filtering them, even though I have set no ...

  • Re: Content Control hangs - as does Spamhalter

Because the content control problem is unresolved, I disabled it and turned on Spamhalter instead (the version integrated into Pegasus, not the one running on Mercury).  And ...  same problem occurs, albeit slightly less frequently.  Very occasionally, Spamhalther will identify and move spammy messages to the designated spam folder ...

  • Content Control hangs

I have only content control enabled.  Periodically it hangs, typically after it has detected a message to be moved to the junk folder.  Have tried changing the number of bytes to scan -- if around 2000, it doesn't hang but also doesn't pick up addresses that are in the blacklist.  If around 3000 or greater, hangs. The offending ...

  • Re: Forwarding email kills TCP/IP Network stack in Win XP and 2K....

chaeron:I'm running Pegasus 4.41 on WinXP SP2.  Every once in a while, when I forward an email and hit send, Pegasus seems to corrupt the TCP/IP stack and I lose network connectivity to my local LAN.  A reboot restores the connection.  Seems to happen with Rich Text (eg. HTML) based emails for some reason, but I have not managed ...

  • How to deal with crashes and hangs/freezes

If you happen to encounter crashes with Pegasus Mail or situations where it doesn't continue to work anymore (hanging or freezing) it is recommended to take the following steps: First of all ensure you're using the most recent version of Pegasus Mail since it might already fix your issue(s). Additionally ...

  • Pegasus won't run

I'm running winpm-32, XP Home.  Pegasus stopped responding in the midst of sending and receiving e-mail I shut down the program.  Now it won't run at all.  I get the locked message, click ''continue'' and it tries to open the new mail folder, but fails. I'm sure this is not a new problem, but my searches aren't turning up ...

  • AW: Re: v.451 Crashes in Win 7 When "Add Folder" Is Clicked

idw:you're currently the only one encountering such an issue - especially as it's not a crash, which could be diagnosed by my MiniDump extension. No, not longer; me too. Additionally to this problem, my Pegasus Mail is affectet with the described ''add folder'' problem: Clicking on ''add'' in the main folder will freeze Pegasus Mail, Alt+F4 ...

  • Re: Pegasus hangs when trying to move or copy message

Thank you for the suggestion, but I already tried that and it didn't work.  However, I found the solution already... once again the extended desktop was the problem. The Move window opened somewhere outside the two screens... but I have been able to resolve it.  Best regards,   Ict
