  • Need to have outbound email go to a folder instead of leaving the server

Hello, I am using Mercury mail V4.74. I have the Core application, MercuryS SMTP server, and the MercuryE SMTP Client running. I am trying to figure out how to capture all outbound mail from the server to a local folder WITHOUT letting it leave the server. I have a problem where duplicate emails are coming in to the server from a web ...

  • I am getting the following error from mercC: "Error FF servicing queue job."

I run my own personal webserver with a free url of http://gensite.homedns.org.  I have a paid URL of gamesoda.com which I have a webhop (redirect) in place to send my friends to the free URL (gensite.homedns.org).  I have mail set up with the registrar to send mail to gamesoda.com and it has to be sent using port 1125. I use MS-Outlook ...

  • Re: Mail "folders" security in WinSrv environment?

Thanks... but it wasn't exactly the same issue (seems that cc'd mail was being 'deleted'). I'm talking about a user accessing the 'mail folders' of ''other'' users and reading their mail with a text editor. The default install of Merc seems to make the 'everyone' user the default for read, and read write, view... I'd want ONLY the user who is to ...

  • Mail "folders" security in WinSrv environment?

Using Srv2003 and Mercury 4.62patched. Note that there are 'user named' folders under mail in server directory for Mercury. That mail is readable in 'text editor' for each individual email under each user's mail folder (not talking 'box' here, each user does gather their own email thru email client on their desktop). What is best practice way ...

  • Outgoing Job Speed

First let me say to whomever developed this program: Great job!  I can't believe I got it up and running so quickly (especially since I have never set up an email server in my life).   Anyway, I have set up Mercury, and everything works fine, except the outgoing jobs seem to sit in the ready category for for several minutes before ...

  • Mercury for Win v4 - mercury loader will not load the mail server

Hi We have a Mercury for Windows V4 Mail Server running at the school for teacher mail. It had been working fine up until 24 hrs ago. I noticed that it stopped downloading the outside mail. Checking with our service provider it all seemed right their end.  I then noticed that the drive that mercury and all the files where on had only a ...

  • Re: Bug (?) in Mercury 4.62

If you do have ready or pending jobs in the queue then I imagine there is activity (determining if to resend) even if nothing is logged. But I agree the log window shouldn't scroll unless something is actually written.

  • Problem with new user accounts

I'm running Mercury32, v4.01b and currently have 102 users.  We have used Mercury/Pegasus for the last ten years and its a great set of programs.  Lately however, I have found that I am having a problem in that Mercury isn't recognising the new users I create.  You can send internally to the users, using their ''real names'' but ...

  • Configuring time in Mercury Core Module

Hi I have noticed a strange thing. All mails which are arriving have a time-stamp 1 hour earlier than they were sent. I have looked at the settings in the Mercury Core module and the box marked 'Auto' is ticked. The server on which Mercury is installed has the correct time-zone applied which is GMT-London, and the box marked Automatically ...
