  • Re: Confirm delivery and mailing list

I don't recall how this was discussed in relation to the anonymous flags. Could you test and summarize how and if the Disposition-Notification-To header changes in relation to the not anonymous, partly anonymous and fully anonymous flag setting?

  • Limit One Instance Running

Mercury seriously needs a feature that will allow limiting it to only 1 instance running at a time. It may need some adjustable options, though, to suit different users' preferences.  For example, I would prefer than in addition to it trying to determine if other instances are currently executing, it would also create a ''flag'' file ...

  • Spam: Multiple recipients with 1 legit address and Mercury forwards the lot

I noticed a rather serious problem today:   My system's set up to block illegitimate mail.  I demand authentication to relay and I greywall, but today a piece of spam came through with one legitimate address for a local user, and about 12 users on other systems in the CC/BCC fields.  Because one user was legit the message was accepted by ...

  • Moving from Windows Mail to Mercury

Hi,  I've been using Mercury/32 for a while now as a POP3 server. With the growth of different devices (mobiles, webmail etc) that I can use to talk to the server, I would prefer to switch to IMAP4. Setting it up is easy and I'm happy with that side of things. But are there any tips or pitfalls from trying to move my existing email from ...

  • Re: After Upgrade to 4.61 all Mails are duplicated

Peter, David, thanks to your quick responses and davids magick (coding) it's solved: the provided pre-release candidate (only changing MERCURYP a bit) now works nearly flawless. The POP3-Server is a lot faster than it was in 4.52... Thanks a lot to everyone - keep on that great work! (I think the ''big'' competitors never can keep up with that ...

  • Re: After Upgrade to 4.61 all Mails are duplicated

First of all: I appreciate your honest and competent answers very much - that's one of the reasons we decided to productively deploy Mercury in our company (Healthcare - and Yes, we purchased an unlimited license;). I could reproduce the behaviour in our testenvironment: Win2003 Server, XP SP2 Clients - Mercury 4.52 upgraded to 4.61 - ...

  • Spamhalter - Probability 0.0000xxx %

Hi everybody, I am new to this forum but using Marcury/32 on a Windows 2000-system for quite some time now (3-4 years or so). I just updated to Mercury version 4.61, and whilst updating I wanted to check out the tools mentioned in the installation-package called SpamWall, ClamWall and Graywall.    ClamWall seems to work perfect, i did not test ...
