  • subfolders gone - Pconfig dosbox

After reinstall of Windows 7 (from 32 to 64 bit) and change of letters for the drives Pegasus Mail runs again (thanks to this forum's tip about dosbox running pconfig.exe but I only see the mail that was in the new Mail box before the reinstall. Any thought on how to get the subfolders back? This is what I see via About ...

  • Re: Version 4.61 Performance

I used the installer and it finished successfully. I do not have automatic image download enabled. That said, changing the WINSOCK setting seems to solve the problem. Thank you.  Why does this affect the performance?

  • Version 4.61 Performance

I just upgraded to V4.61. I'm running Windows 7, 64 bit, on a fairly new I7 PC. PMail now seems to be using an inordinate amount of CPU (13%) even when idle. Can I simply reinstall V4.52 over the new version? Do you have any other suggestions?

  • Can't stop multiple incoming emails

One of our Windows XP computers running Pegasus 4.5 suddenly started getting multiple copies of incoming messages.  For example, I sent a test message to that computer this morning at about 8:30 a.m. and within an hour it was downloaded about 30 times.  Soon we had to shut down the program because it had received nearly 500 messages, ...

  • Installing Pegasus folders on new hard drive

My hard drive crashed last week. The place I took it to be fixed managed to save all my data, but they had to install a new hard drive. I installed Pegasus on the new hard drive. The data (at least six years' worth) from my old Pegasus is all there and I managed to copy it into the newly installed program. But I can't Pegasus to pull it up. It ...

  • first malfunction within 15 years: from:??? to:???

Sounds hard to believe but the first malfunction within 15 years of usage occurred some weeks ago. v4.51 installed on Windows7 fine, apart from the ''hidden'' graphics and text menu, sorted that out. There are 2 users configered, same ''feature'' in both accounts: Messages send show ''from:??? to:???'' in folder preview, when message is ...

  • Old folders don't appear after re-installation

Hallo, I urgently beg your help. My Pegasus Mail Version 4.41 was running imperfect, it was not possible to ''re-indicate'' a folder, ''pipelining'' occurred when sending mails. I therefore uninstalled and reinstalled Pegasus Mail. Now my 'old' folders and mails are no more visible, the *.PMM und *.PMI files are still ...

Following a crash and reformatting of my hard drive, I have reinstalled Pegasus. Could you tell me which files I need to copy from my back up drive to reinstate the Pegasus data files. Thanks

  • Re: Update error/Splash Warning

Yes, my user directory exists in the same location as before I updated, i.e, a sub-directory of ''Mail''! It is update and that is the option I used. The update renamed pmail.usr to pmail.us_. I had not considered that a change as Vista did not change either the last access or last modification dates (both of which I have visible in ...

  • Re: Trouble getting workstation to run

Hello, Thomas, Well, we are still struggling. I did have it running fine but all of a sudden all the identities disappeared and all the configuration items set with them (like banded windows, for instance). The .ini file is there but it doesn't read it, and now we are  back to the dreaded ''the user you are trying to 'become' does not exist ...
