    There is no one thing that is effective against spam but if you use a variety of tools you will find that you can beat it.   I also use spamwall, content control and transaction filters.   I have just over a hundred users and I would guess that only about a dozen spam messages ever get to my end users in any given month.     We have Symantec SMSSMTP, as our mx hosts - charge nothing for the service, and it has filtered a total of 96% spam, straight down the waste bin. Does it do it's job?
