  • Fun & Games with WebMail

I've been dabbling with webmail off and on since something like 2003.  Captaris Webmail works fine but its discontinued and I've outgrown the 25 user license.  Also, Captaris lacks a much needed search feature. The last couple of weeks have gotten me to the point where I have SquirrelMail running on Apache with Windows 2000 Professional ...

  • apache.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows

Ok.  I've got Mercury/32 v4.52 running nicely on a Windows 2000 box I built just for that purpose.  On a second Windows 2000 box I'm trying to get Apache up and running for the purpose of using it for SquirrelMail. For the past 5 years or so I've been using Tiny Web Server by Rit Labs on a Windows NT box.  It's been great and ...

  • Re: F-Prot v6's fpscan.exe

Another question.  I'm looking at replacing Captaris WebMail with SquirrelMail.  I've gone so far as actually sending a test message from SM.  Does anyone know if it's possible to remove the SM identifiers from the header records?  I don't personally but I'm sure there are plenty of mail administrators out there that are ...

  • Re: Copies to self showing From, not To

Thomas,Thanks for that information.  The user says the problem just started but she has been using the Captaris WebMail interface for most of her mail and it is NOT adding the appropriate headers in the copies to self folder.

  • Re: I may be able to help with the HTML

... and I can make the modifications necessary to make it work with any browser. Which is what the vast majority of webmailers aim to do. Fancy stuff, like drag and drop from inbox to another folder is possible too (see GMX), but that doesn't mean that it has to work that way. Actually, I don't see why David has to spend the little time he has ...

  • Re: Web access to email using Pegasus and Mercury.

I still have a problem with SMTP from offsite.   I had set up a SMPT users file with a test account which worked fine when I tested it from a system on our network however from outside using the same account I just get a one line error report.   The error message was something like 15: Peer connect failure (the host has refused ...
