How does one activate the personal dictionary. Everything in my Pegasus 4.8 works perfectly EXCEPT when the spell check encounters new words. I click ADD but when, in a later message the same word occurs again, spell checker does not recognise it. Is there some way to 'switch it on'
I've been using Pegasus Mail for many years, and am currently on version w32-472.
I've had some health issues in recent years, and am aware that I'm behind on some of my system software, and am looking to upgrade.
I'm using Windows 10 Pro.
Is it sufficient to install w32-480 on top of what I have, or is it more complicated than that?
Also, my current ISP is having some difficulties, and I'm looking around to see what the alternatives are. Are there some recommended ISPs that will work with Pegasus Mail as a client?
I have my own domain that I would like to transfer, as part of the process of going with a new ISP.
How can I make my configuration changes to IERenderer stick? After shutting down Pegasus mail and restarting, IERenderer reverts back to default every time. Thank you for your help.
My wife cannot get into Pegasus.. Opens the prompt .. enters username then it seems to be opening then it just stops. without opening
This seems to have started after trying to send a PDF. when sending the PDF it made the waiting timer.. it took too long ..she let it run. when she returned to look at it.. it had stopped.
She tried to update the program. but she is still unable to open Pegasus.
I cannot open pdf attachments directly from a mail message in PMail (I just upgraded to ver 4.8 hoping it would solve the problem but it didn't). Images (jpgs, pngs) open in Windows Photos, and Word/Excel docs open in MS Word and Excel. I haven't tried any other file types because these are pretty much all I would receive as attachments. I'm pretty sure that in the past, pdfs did open in Adobe Acrobat Reader directly from PMail. I can save the pdf attachment and then open the saved file in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Any ideas? Thanks.
Are you searching for a solution to convert your Pegasus Mails, then you should try DRS Pegasus Mail Converter. I've recently used it and found it very useful for Pegasus Mail conversion. It can easily backup PMM, CNM, and other Pegasus File extensions into various file formats like PST, PDF, MBOX, EML, etc. You can also customize the name of the resultant folder using this software. This tool maintains the data integrity of the file and keeps your data safe. You can convert Pegasus Mails in bulk which saves your time and effort. It is compatible with all versions of Windows. Release notes: · This version fixes an infinite loop issue caused by broken HTML sources containing unfinished comment elements in their head section. · It also fixes another infinite loop issue triggered by invalid remote image URL redirection handling. It additionally aborts reoccuring redirections automatically and enables the [Esc] key for terminating them in possibly remaining cases. It is furthermore recommended to enable the progress dialog for providing visual feedback about ongoing remote picture downloads via IER's toolbar button menu.
I received a PDF attachment with a very long name. The attachment viewer marked it as an unknown file type. It appears the name is too long and the .PDF extension is cut off. Is there a size limit on the number of characters in an attachment name?
Got an odd prob...one of our email accounts cannot 'add folder' in Peg. Freezes up & has to have the process killed. There are some quite large folders approaching the max size which I've been able to whittle down. All other functions appear to be behaving normally. Any ideas welcome. Cheers G
I received a warning that a mail folder needed to be reinitialized. It was recommended that I back up the folder first, but I cannot find information on how to do this. It is a critical folder so I do not want to risk its loss.
On the old PC the Address book is called Comments Subscribers. The Distribution List has the same name and its full name is LIST6F75.PML .
On the old PC, Pegasus is in F:\PMAIL. On the new PC Pegasus is in C:\PMAIL .
On the old PC LIST6F75.PML is in H:\Chris . On the new PC I wish LIST6F75.PML to be in a new folder under C: ... Documents to be called Pegasus data . This folder doesn't exist yet.
At least for now, I do not wish to copy other address books and distribution lists.
Both PCs are running Pegasus 4.73. Pegasus on the old PC is only used for sending emails which are created by software I wrote each week. This will also be the case on the new PC.
Pegasus is not used, nor will be used, for receiving emails. Yes, I am avoiding OAUTH.
Thought look at discussion board as not been on for while. Found this and also thought worth a try. I had removed older Pegasus and was stuck with Gmail. The newer version as title above ran well and smoothly. The one click to set up with Gmail worked too, no issues. All mails downloaded and and the familier folders are so welcome. This is a very impressive feat and well done to making this work. I can imagine how tough in dealing with Gmail obstacles. Thank you David Harris for this and making it freely available. I did setup my account and looks like am stuck with name of admin? Setup other users no problem. Great work.
Simce pegasus is dead for the forseeable future for anyone using Microsoft email I need to move all of the emails to outlook. I came across this 15 year old thread talking about using mercury and IMAP to move pegasus folders to outlook. Never used mercury before. Anyone have any idea if this method would still work? Thx
Being a Kiwi myself, I thought, Pegasus might be worth a try. However, I got stuck with the address book. The mail provider I am using for years supports CardDAV (only) as a protocol. Is there any change to synchronize Pegasus Mail with the address book on the mail server? Grateful for every hint in this direction, as for me it will be absolutely essential to work with that remote address book!
Hello, I have a folder in Pmail where I've stored all emails with activation/logins for different bought software. Can I store a copy of this or print it out? _ I'm fighting with a clean install of win 11 that might wipe everything
On Windows 10. Have been using Pegasus for many years. Currently on 4.73. I have always used PMail with -Roam switch on a portable external drive, and it has always worked fine. The Sendto uitility is selected as the default mail app and that has always worked fine. However, I am now getting an error when trying to mailto from a website: "Can't communicate with Pegasus." Appreciate any help. Tariya
My messages to other peoples' gmail.com addresses have started being bounced, and the fix I need is to set up my SMTP server use properly. I've got it to work in another (lesser) email client, but I've struggled with configuring Pegasus Mail.
It's not my SMTP server. The settings specified by the email provider are Security - SSL Outgoing Port - 465 or 587 Authentication - Password
I've tried various combinations of direct SSL or STARTTLS, port 465 or port 587. Haven't found one which works yet.
Here's the trace showing the SMTP transaction for direct SSL, port 465. What do I need to adjust?
