It seems to work OK but I now have new INBOX but copies still go to copies to self
With IMAP you habe a seperate folderstructure at your provider (let's say: a seperate mailbox). With that structure you should have at minimum folders SENT and TRASH (maybe DRAFTS, TEMPLATES, ARCHIVES an JUNK in addition). If not - create them. In the options of the identity for that mailaddress point outbox to folder SENT, in IMAP-Profile point folder for deletd messages to TRASH.
Your local folderstructure isn't of any interest with IMAP! The advantage of that is, that your mails are accessable with any mailclient (including webmailerinterface of your provider if offered) from anywhere you have access to internet.
Further the download button does nothing (presumably pop3 disabled) but what initiates the down load now?
You don't have to download anything with IMAP ... simply click on the added INBOX . There are your new mails for that provider.
It can be set to do on opening, but i am used to doing this manually. Do you have to open the imao profile and click connect?
Yes - or configure the IMAP-Profile to connect at startup of Pegasus (what I would do).

Forget all about POP :-)
