Same user but different domain in the same server

Another option is to use fsynonym.exe. Create a text file (e.g. mail-names.txt), which maps username@domain to local mail account name:

jony@domain1.com == jony1
jony@domain2.com == jony2

You then use fsynonym to parse the contents of the text file to a file named synonym.mer

Check out the documentation. We use Mercury to manage the mail for 3 different domains and this works fine.

Hi everybody, maybe this is a common question but i'm testing and I don't know how to achieve this.

As an example I have the user "test" but i serve several domains, so the email test@domain1.com and test@domain2.com both are valid, but how can i have 2 separate user with the same username "test"

Thanks in advance for your help.

Usernames are common for all local domains in Mercury, but it's possible to create aliases to separate them. So using your example the second user could be called test_domain2 and there could be an alias for test@domain2.com pointing to that mailbox.

Thanks Rolf Lindby by your kindly attention. I'm going to try your suggestion.
