Message format & signature problem

I guess at one time I added a signature to my messages. Now I want to get rid of it and just use the signature choice with the check mark. How do I undo it? Using ver 4.70 for windows.

Tools > Options > Outgoing mail > Signatures

Set the default set to "No signature"
