"Add address to addressbook" not working

This has been working ok for years, now having problem:

Right-click on address in From line > Add address to addressbook > Select > dialog box disappears, nothing happens

Any ideas? Thanks! ...Steve

Known issue since several versions, reported here multiple times, being corrected in upcoming v4.72 ...
