Hi Brian, there are two instances of the file path in that file. Should they both point to the same directory?
Normally yes.
I am te only user on this PC, and what you suggest is exactly what I have done. In the past this has not been a problem. The only fifferences this time are that now I am using Windows 10, and not I have only one very large disc (which holds the C: drive and therefore my personal data files. I have always had at least two discs so that I could separate systems files from data files (mainframe and UNIX background).
The fact that you no longer have two discs is why you are experiencing problems. Keep in mind that most of the configuration files are stored in the mailbox directory and many of them contain paths. The mailbox location has changed from E: to C: but I suspect that some of those paths are still pointing to E:.
Are you willing to start from scratch and give it another go? A new installation will re-use the existing bad configuration files unless specific steps are taken so if you want to go this route I will provide more details.
I will need to know the path to the current Pegasus Mail \Programs directory (where your shortcut points to for executing winpm-32.exe) and the current path to the Pegasus Mail \Mail directory.
You will need an intact mailbox directory from which to retrieve mail data.
There is a whitepaper posted in the downloads section of this site that details the files to restore after a new installation. Take a look at it so you have an idea about the process.
