OK, thanks! Yes, it's the same as I am doing. So good to know that in principle, it works, even though no idea what is wrong in my case. So I will delete it manually.

I have the following problem: I get daily an e-mail from the same address, containing a pdf-file in the attachment. What I want to do with this e-mail is the following: 1) save the attached pdf to a folder on my hard-disk 2) delete the attachment in pegasus 3) move the remaining mail to a pre-defined folder in pegasus.

For this, I use filters. Steps 1 and 3 work perfectly. Unfortunately, step 2 (deleting the attachment in pegasus after it has been saved to the disk) does not work. I defined three filter-rules for new mail; this is how it looks in the WINRULES.PMC file (leaving away the other filter-rules that are not relevant here):

If attachment FullName matches "ABC*.pdf" DeleteAttmt ""

If I delete the first filter for step 1 (save to hard-disk), the attachment is deleted, but not so when filter-rule 1 exists.

I use the full german version of Pegasus 4.7 on a Windows 7 system.

PS: I am aware of the fact that attachments can be deleted only in the inbox-folder.

I'm not shure about what happens there, but it reads like Pegasus is still working on the first rule while second rule is tried to be executed.

If you have this rules in a block in your ruleset, try to move some of the other rules between first an second rule. Don't know if that would be a workaround.

Right, it seems as if pegasus doesn't go to the relevant rule. I tried what you proposed, still with no result. Even tried to move the rule for deleting the attachment to "closing inbox" rules, still without result. Any idea what to do?

FWIW, I just ran a test using an attachment file named 1234_turbo.pdf and the attachment was both saved and deleted.  From my winrules.pmc...

I don't see any difference from what you have done so don't have a clue why yours is not working.   At least we know the logic works.
