My antivirus no longer actively scans the C:\PMail\Mail folder, but the crashes and restarts persist. I gather from Michael in der Wiesche that Pegasus version 4 has various problems with IMAP. Nothing to do but avoid IMAP, start using DavMail again, or wait for Pegasus vsn 5. I'm too busy at the moment to start playing with DavMail again, so I'll struggle along with this annoyance and hope that PMail 5 comes along before too many months or years.

Something new. When I send an email message and then exit Pegasus it always
gives me a message that Pegasus is restarting, and it does.  This does not happen when I exit without having sent any messages.

This started four or five days ago. No new programs and/or applications added to the computer.

How are you "exiting" Pegasus Mail.  You may just not waiting for the sending process to complete before closing Pegasus Mail

I am waiting for the message sent to appear before exiting Pegasus.

My PMail developed exactly the same problem a few weeks ago (see thread at http://community.pmail.com/forums/thread/46638.aspx). I'm waiting for support people to exclude the mail directory from on-access scanning in case that is interfering with the closedown procedure. Unfortunately the AV has been installed in such a way that I have no access to the relevant settings. I'll report back in a couple of weeks when I next go into the university.
