Thanks, Martin, for your help. I did have one of the addresses listed twice and one

was blank except for the  name. In trying to make sure everything worked properly, I made 3 addresses with my email, but different names. I then made a distribution list with those 3 names. It surprised me that only one email was received. Is that expected behavior? That is, that no matter how many addresses there are with different names, but the same email address, only one email will be sent?

I have a small address book (5 names) in which I tried to delete one name and add

another. I ended up with two copies of the new name; one is OK, but the other is blank.

When I try to send mail via a distribution list with the five names, the added name

says "invalid address, message not sent." I have tried deleting both names, logging out,

and then re-entering the new name -- same result. In trying to rectify this, I have sent 15

messages to the other four entries! I periodically have duplicate names in address books;

am I doing something wrong?

Now I've sent 12 more of the same email to the distribution list!! When I try

deleting the bogus emails from my inbox, I get the same error message about

the invalid email and then it sends that email out to the 4 valid addresses. I even

tried sending the message to the five address individually, but the one email causes

multiple email to the others.

Two things you can try.

Before you do any thing check the address book lists for a duplicate  entries.  Pegasus Mail scans through all address books looking for the name, and "usually" will prompt you to chose which one to use.

Quite likely one of the duplicate entries will have something wrong, like a missing email address.

1. Edit your address book or distribution list and change the email address of the failing address/distribution list entry to yourself.  -- or --

2. Make note of the all entries info, then delete the address book and/or distribution list, and then create the file again. With so few entries this will not be a great effort
