See update to Rssmail 5.6.3 at http://community.pmail.com/files/folders/pegadd/entry47745.aspx

Martin

I saw a message saying an update was available but when I installed it the program stopped working and then even when I try to go back to the older version it still won't work. The only error message I get is "invalid file name" as soon as I click on the executable.

Any suggestions on how to fix?

Thanks,

Jim

Please send me your Rssmail.log. It should be in either the Pegasus Mail Newmail directory (c:\pmail\mail\userid) or the sub-directory of the newmail directory called Rssmail If you have it in both locations, only send me the latest dated one. Thank you My email address is irelam@telus.net.

I have the same problem. I tested some variations about the folders for files rssmail.ini and rsslinks.txt. I get the same message 'Invalid filename'. This is the content of log file (only 2 lines)

The minor update to Rssmail (5.6.2) can be downloaded from http://www3.telus.net/public/irelam/Rssmail562.zip to fix this problem. Community site is not accepting file uploads at present.

Rssmail 5.6.2 fixes logic to assign Rssmail to a sub-directory of the

Pegasus Mail NewMail directory (eg c:\pmail\mail\admin\rssmail) and

puts in place a Rssmail.lck to prevent multiple instances running.

Existing

users should read the Rssmail.txt and move all Rssmail files in the

current NewMail directory to their new sub-directory home. Note that

this version will automatically create this Rssmail directory under the

Newmail directory
