Copy To Self in Command Line not Working

Hello,

Is there already a solution to this issue?

Best regards

Hello,

Is there already a solution to this issue?

Best regards

Hi,

lately I have noticed a starange problem.

we have access database which sends emails automatically witht the -j command line option.

the text file contain the CS:1 option but the email does not appear in the Copy To Self folder. if i open the email a the Queue Manager and press on save without making any changes, the email will appear in the Copy To Self folder...

we are using Pegasus Mail version 4.71.565, Nov 11 2015.

any ideas how to have the emails saved also when using the command line?

thanks in advanced,

B. Baruch

Just some suggestions. Firstly in Tools/Options/Outgoing Mail ensure that the default folder name points to the actual folder in the NewMail directory. Then make sure that the options in the Interactive Copy section to ask for permission to add and location of folder are unchecked. Reason for this is that mailing time there is no need for interaction between user and Pegasus Mail if the Job Submission stream is being used.

Finally Have you any Copy-to-Self rules set up? See Tools/Mail Filtering Rules/Edit CopySelf rules

Hi Martin,

thank you for you suggestions, they have all been tried or already were set so, also there are no copy-to-self rules.

i tried today to create a new folder and set it as the copy-to-self default, but this didn't help as well...

best, Barry

Just for giggles, set the option for always BCC (or use on commandline BCC option) to your e-mail address.

If works, then place a rule to mark theses as read and move to another folder (copy to self).

This would be a workaround until solution of course. Will try to duplicate your procedure to see if something can be found, will be later in weekend when time permits.
