How to DELETE an existing folder?

When just talking about wishes: I would like to have the oppotunity to delete also folders which contain subfolders with mails therein. In Germany we have to keep all business e-mail conversations of the last 10 years. That's why we maintain single mailfolders for each single year. But our users additionally create different subfolders for each year folder. And every new year I have to tidy up my user's Pmail accounts deleting those year folders which are older than 10 years. And this is a high time consumption process when you imagine about 18 users with about 10 to 20 subfolders per year folder.

Cheers

How do we DELETE an existing folder? [:^)] I am NOT talking about deleting the contents of a folder.

IMHO: [Delete Folder] should be a right-click context option for each folder.

You don't need right-click (even it's a good idea for PMAIL 5.0 :-)

Mark the Folder You want to delete.
Look at the top of the Folder Window
There are 5 Icons. The fourth from left represents "Delete"
Click it and that's it.

I find the Delete button in the Folder window toolbar to be adequate.  A context menu option would provide a different method but not a significantly more convenient one, at lease not for me.

My wish is for the name of the folder being deleted to be displayed in the popup confirmation.

Not a right click option.

Folder window will have an icon 'Delete' (which is a folder icon with a red 'x' bottom right corner).

Select the folder you wish to delete then click the icon you will be prompted to confirm since there is no safety net. Yes mouse movement no keyboard shortcut.

When looking at the list of folders,

1. select the folder and right click the property.

2.  Note the filename (Folder information) then click the Delete button, and a dialog will ask if you are sure.

If you reply Yes your folder will be gone. The only way to recover the folder will be to use your disk backup system and restore the PMI and PMM files by name noted in 2. above
