When did this start for you?  Are freezes occurring at the same time as the temporary hangs just worse?

I updated my Win10 machine just prior to seeing your post so am curious if it is this update that has caused the issue.  I'll certainly post again if my hangs are worse.

I am using the latest version of Pegasus and a few months ago I started to get what I know is a Windows error message but it only happens with Pegasus. I am using windows 7 64. The message I get is "Pegasus Mail is Not Responding" and the application freezes for several seconds then seems to work fine. Has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions how to cure it ?

There isn't a cure.  Pegasus Mail is based on some very old code so what I believe is happening is that when Pegasus Mail is busy, like when checking for or sending messages, it doesn't respond to the "are you there" inquiries of the Windows OS.  The OS then adds "Not Responding" to the window title. 

Everyone doesn't experience the temporary freezes but many of us do.  All you can do is wait.  AFAIK, the cause has not been identified.

I agree with Brian, but I am seeing a complete system freeze not just Pegasus Mail. Just be patient and the system unlocks after seconds or a minute or so. I am also seeing the warning dialog from Windows that it is experiencing problems. As Pegasus Mail has not changed, it must be a Windows Update that has been rolled out recently. I am on Windows 10 64-bit Personal Edition.
